Types Of Good Toys And Worthwhile Activities

  • Rattle, large rings, squeeze or sucking toys
  • Classical music, lullabies, nursery rhymes, or poems sung in person or on CD
  • Bright pictures of faces hung so baby can see them
  • Rattle firmly attached to baby's wrist, ankle, booties
  • Cardboard or vinyl books with high-contrast illustrations to stand in baby's view
  • Brightly patterned crib sheets and bumpers
  • Mobile with parts visible so baby can see while lying down
